Movie Review: Karla

Just watched a pretty nice little indie flick, based on a very sordid, very true murder/rape story that took place in Canada in which Laura Prepon, from That 70's show, plays Karla Homolka, who along with husband Paul Bernardo, were involved with the rape/torture/murder of 3 women, including Homolka's 15 year old sister.

Homolka pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter and agreed to serve 12 years for her role in the rape, torture and death of Ontario schoolgirls Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy, as well as that of her own 15-year-old sister Tammy.

The movie is an excellent example of a great story, coupled with 2 very solid actors. Prepon was especially impressive, breaking away from the "Donna" role I'm so familiar with for her. The movie is suitably creepy and compelling, I watched all the extras, deleted scenes, and factual info on the dvd, and have looked around on the net for more info. Highly recommneded, especially if you are a fan of true crime stuff.
