I Highly Reccomend you watch the movie Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room.
The movie shows the greed encouraged in our freemarket trading economy that continually rewards a disproporational amount of power and wealth to small economic elite. It's a particularly rewarding watch now, since you the viewer would be aware of the postscript... in effect, a bit of just desserts for the major villians. (Fastow, Lay, and Skilling.)
